The Rope Incident: Storytime Part 1
A Mistress, a broken car door, and a bag of rope that was definitely not packed with auto repair in mind. Mistress storytime.
Some women carry jumper cables. I carry rope. Different rope than what AAA recommends, but rope nonetheless, and the kind of years-deep, hands-on rope skill that only comes from a very specific lifestyle. So when my car betrayed me on a rainy night after a private appointment, I did what any resourceful Mistress would do. I reached into my session bag. Because the bag was right there. And the rope inside it had already done its job for the evening, so really, it was just sitting there unemployed.
What follows is Mistress storytime, a true story about creative problem solving, refusing to be rescued, and using the GOOD rope on a Honda. Pour something, get comfortable.

Mistress storytime, in three acts. So let me tell you about the time my car tried to betray me.
I had just gotten home from a very private appointment. Let’s just say it was a good evening. A productive evening. Everyone involved left satisfied and probably a little sore. You’re welcome.
So I’m driving home, it’s raining, because of course it’s raining, I’ve got my toybag in the trunk, I’m feeling good about life, and then I hear this POP. My back door latch just gives up on life. And the door swings open. While I’m driving. In the rain.
Now, this isn’t Grand Theft Auto. I can’t just keep driving with a door flapping in the wind like nothing happened. I’m not out here doing stunt missions. This is my real life and I have to actually deal with this like a responsible adult.
So I pull over on the side of the road. In the rain. At night. After a session. With a toybag in my trunk. Living my best life, clearly.
When the Only Tool You Have Is Bondage Rope
And I’m sitting there thinking, okay, what do I have that can hold this door shut? Bungee cords? No. Zip ties? No. Duct tape? Of course not, that would be too easy.
And then I remember what’s in my trunk. In the bag. The bag that just came from the session. The bag that has items in it that are NOT designed for automotive repair.
I have rope.
Not just any rope. The GOOD rope. Beautiful, soft, black rope. The kind of rope that, if you know anything about shibari or Japanese rope bondage, you recognize on sight. And I’ll give you a hint, it’s not for tying down luggage.
But desperate times call for creative problem solving. So picture this. Me, out in the rain, in the dark, on the side of the road, reaching into my session bag, pulling out this gorgeous black rope that was being used for something VERY different about an hour ago.
And I tie my two back doors together. Like I’m securing a very disobedient piece of furniture. Years of knot experience? Finally paying off in a completely unexpected way.
A Mistress Does Not Get Rescued
Oh, and the sub who was with me earlier? He literally begged me to come help. Begged. Which is kind of what he does. But NO. I told him to stay home. I don’t need rescuing. I rescue myself. With rope. MY rope. I handled it. Like I handle everything.
And you know what? It WORKED. Doors secured. Crisis averted. Drove home in the rain with my doors tied together with the prettiest bondage rope you’ve ever seen on a Honda.
Resourceful queen doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Part 2 next Thursday, when I have to take this car to the MECHANIC. With the rope still on it.

Mistress Storytime Part 2: What Happens Next
Part 2 drops next Thursday, same story, now with audio narration for those of you who prefer to hear me tell it. (And if you’ve seen any of my other diary entries, you already know what my voice does to a story like this.)
If you found this post and you’re not on my mailing list yet, fix that. New blog posts and emails go out on Thursdays. Make sure to check your spam folder if the welcome email doesn’t show up, because the algorithms have opinions about me that I don’t share.
And if you’re looking for where to actually find me, for chatting, ordering custom videos, buying content, or anything else, those links live exclusively in my emails. Not on social media. Not on the websites. The list is the door. No effort, no access. That’s how I run things, and it’s served me well so far.
Sign up. Pay attention. Part 2 is coming.
